Camas Educational Foundation relies on the support of its community to fulfill its mission to fund extraordinary learning opportunities for every student. CEF is an entirely volunteer-run organization. There are many ways to get involved and all help is greatly appreciated. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming involved in one or more of our many committees.

CEF School Liaison - The CEF School Liaison keeps schools, parents and staff informed and knowledgeable about CEF throughout the year. They generate volunteer involvement from their assigned school and maintain positive relationships and communications with other groups (PTO, PTA, Booster Clubs) about CEF. The School Liaison encourages grant applications and helps the school foster ideas and educational opportunities for grant requests. This volunteer position serves as the advocate for the school they represent as well as an advocate for CEF inside their school. The School Liaison also sits on the Mini Grants Committee. They are responsible for making decisions about grant funding and dispersing grant awards throughout the schools in the district.

CEF Auction Gala Committee Member - Every year, CEF hosts a large Auction Gala in the Spring. The committee is a fun group who enjoy aspects of working closely as a team to build an exciting fundraiser every year. Members of the Auction Committee are responsible for planning the evening details, securing donations and auction items. They also ensure that the night of the event is memorable for all of the evening’s guests.

CEF Sponsorship Committee Member - Members of the Sponsorship Committee meet several times a year to build corporate support. These committee members serve as liasions to local businesses, community organizations, government officials and community leaders to advocate for CEF. In addition, the Sponsorship Committee works to raise critical funds necessary to support CEF’s mission and vision.

CEF Board of Directors - The Board of Directors are volunteers pulled from the Camas Community who support CEF’s mission and vision. These volunteers are responsible for maintaining the fiscal health of the organization. They oversee the operations of the organization and ensure that the volunteers act legally and ethically. A Board Member’s term of service is three years. To become a Board Member, interested volunteers are encouraged to serve on other CEF committee. Applications to apply as a Board Member will be available in the Spring 2018.

CEF Events Volunteer - Become involved in the events that CEF host throughout the year. Positions are varied, and can fit easily into your schedule. Events include, and are not limited to: the CEF Auction Gala and our community auction, held in February, 'Show Your Love for CEF'.

Additional Volunteer Service - CEF is always looking for volunteers with specific skills and talents. In particular, we welcome community members with marketing or communication expertise, graphic design experience, educational leadership, or other important professional skills. As a volunteer organization, WE NEED YOU. Please consider reaching out to us if you have a unique and meaningful way that you could contribute time or talents to CEF.
