CEF Legacy Fund

The CEF Legacy Fund is our endowment fund, intended to extend the work of CEF into the future and guarantee educational excellence for the next generations of Camas kids. The Legacy Fund committee has set a three-year goal of achieving a principal balance of $1,000,000 by 2015, with the present balance at approximately $350,000. Planned giving contributions are intended to be a primary source of funding for the endowment, combined with an annual allocation from our general fund raising, and cash donations from corporate and private donors.

Since the Camas Educational Foundation's inception in 1997, our community has committed over $1,200,000 to funding annual and multi-year strategic grant programs throughout the Camas School District. The tangible results of this generosity can be seen in each and every school in the district and have touched our children in many ways. It is now time to build a long-term endowment fund which establishes CEF as a permanent and sustainable reality for future generations.

The Legacy Fund goal is to build an endowment fund of $1 million which will then become the primary funding source of our grant programs, reducing the need for annual volunteer-intensive fund raising events. We would be happy to meet with you to discuss a planned gift which can be in the form of: cash, wills & estate planning, stocks & bonds, insurance and even gift annuities which provide you income. There are many options for tax-saving charitable giving.

We wish to honor those who leave a lasting legacy in our community. Those who committed to a gift beginning at the $500.00 level before December 2004 and all those who have remembered the CEF Legacy Fund in their wills or estate plans, will be recognized as members of the "Legacy Society", the founding members of our Legacy Fund. This includes your name engraved on a beautiful leaf of our CEF "Legacy Tree" - a permanent tribute located in the Camas High School commons area.

Please join with us to support our vision of assisting the Camas School District to build and sustain a world-class K-12 educational system.
