Major Grants

The Foundation's Grant Programs provide funding for outstanding proposals that enhance the basic curriculum or that meet one of the foundations target areas. These areas include: science, math, technology, music and arts, leadership and interpersonal skills, community service learning, staff development and foreign language.

CEF Major Grants are intended for strategic programs that are focused on student learning.CEF seeks to fund programs that would not be possible through other funding sources, or to expand a program the district currently offers. CEF has funded over $300,000 in Major Grants over the past nine years and has supported the following programs:

  • Waterford Reading Program
  • Middle School Foreign Language
  • Project Lead the Way (CHS Science & Technology Magnet)
  • Quizdom Technology for Middle School Math Instruction
  • Science Kits for Elementary Schools
  • Advanced Art Training for Elementary School Teachers
  • Mobile Netbook Lab for Camas High School
  • Mobile iPod Pilot Program for Skyridge Middle School

 

Mini-Grants

The Foundation's Grant Programs provide funding for outstanding proposals that enhance the basic curriculum or that meet one of the foundations target areas. These areas include: science, math, technology, music and arts, leadership and interpersonal skills, community service learning, staff development and foreign language.

Mini-Grants support programs that enhance basic curriculum as well as projects whose funding will result in active student engagement and improved quality and/or level of learning for directly affected students.  CEF has funded over $500,000 in Mini-Grants over the past twelve years. Mini-Grant application, review and selection takes place between December and February each year. Teachers and administrators as well as staff, parents, students, and community members sponsored by certified staff are all encouraged to apply for grants in the amount of $1,500 or less.
