CEF's Annual and Strategic Grant Programs

In our first eight years, the Foundation raised over $1,000,000 and funded over 187 innovative grant requests from teachers, parents and administrators. Grants supported have purchased materials and equipment, and have enabled programs in social studies and history, the arts, math and science, reading and language arts, leadership and mentoring, media and communications, and physical education. Foundation grants impact over 5,000 children enrolled in Camas schools.

Aided by support from a multi-year strategic CEF grant, the district has been able to implement the Waterford Reading Program at all four elementary schools, helping ensure that every student is reading at grade level.
